Chinese dog lovers gathered for the My Dog Votes 2006 Worldwide Candlelight Vigil Against Breed Bans, in the wake of the mass dog slaughter by the Chinese government. Since then, My Dog Votes and the DogPolitics.com blog have been blocked in China.
