Having flyers, handouts and other materials on hand for vigil guests are important to the success of your vigil. You'll want people to be able to have something tangible to read, sign or take home.

Your Local Vigil Checklist
Whike you were busy promoting the vigil, you'll want to make the actual event goes as smoothly as possible. So here's a handly checklist to help guide you:
- Vigil Permit (not needed for private or home vigils)
- Candles, Cups (for drips), Lighters or Matches
- Microphone & PA System - If you have a bigger crowd, you'll want to make sure everyone can hear
- Cameras - Still or Video Cameras - Make sure these are charged or you have fresh batteries. Don't forget to upload your MDV Vigil Videos to our official You Tube Group at: http://youtube.com/group/MyDogVotesVigil
- Table & Chairs for Materials and to provide seating anyone disabled, young, elderly or who tires easily
- Vigil Petitions - Ask each of your attendees to sign the petitions (batch fax later)
- Vigil Signs - or the makings for signs, including posterboard & magic markers
- Water & Snacks - Just in case soneone need a nosh (kids or pets!)

- Trash Bags & Clean Up Supplies - Please be neat and make sure you leave the vigil location a little nicer than you found it ;-)
